EASEL and new to-be project

Here is another project I am working on. Used medium weight chipboard and made a little easel. Just to display current small projects or to place inspirations of the moment. My plan is to decorate it but i wonder if it will take away from the object that will be placed on it. this is still in the thinking process. update to be sorry not to interesting. yet!
My husband gave me these boxes we both liked the packaging on these. when did my husband get into me crafting, kinda neat. His friend from Oklahoma traded him these beers for his famous salsa. My hubby makes the best salsa ohh and with chips mmmmmm. so good. any way, back to the main convo. so, you are looking at project # ? that i will be working on. I sure do hope i dont start collecting beer boxes i dont have the room for it but i also have to save labels and caps, i just have to... I think i see a wall hanging or something untill then this will be on that easel or at least next to it. this is a to be continued project........

Keys made of UTEE.

This is my first attempt at molds it worked out ok but I'm sure I'll get better. I have no complaints until I use a professional mold but I don't think that will happen any time soon.

These are the keys made of UTEE I used the melting pot to melt the UTEE and poured into mold. have to be quick cause it drys up fast. waited about 5 minutes and popped out the keys. Painted with black acrylic paint and waited for them to dry. I also tried some with white paint for a different look and feel.

I used some rub n buff to rub over the keys to give a more defined look. More realistic I think.I loved the way they turned out and i will use them in LO and other artistic creations on mine. I also tryied a flower. I poured out UTEE onto a non stick mat pressed the rubber stamp into the UTEE and let it sit for a moment. I was scared to do this thinking that the stamp would melt or deform in some way but the stamp was fine. Then painted black and and again with the rub n buff using my finger i just rubbed over the flower and walah i have a medallion looking flower.

Easy Mold silicone putty is what i used i had no problems with it. Since this is my first attempt at molds i have nothing else to compare this to. worked well i have no complains. I purchased this on ebay. Hope you give this a try i think you will love it. I did try using the Fimo clay but i think mine was to old to manipulate into the molds so using the UTEE was the second choice for making of the keys but i do love how it turned out and it does look like clay. The only thing i think i would have a problem is gluing them down. I will keep you updated. Thank you for Taking your time to read my blog hope it was time well spent.

binding for 3" thick 12 x 12 album

up-date on this binding it works well if you have spacers between the pages.I used half inch strips of medium weight chipboard and punch holes and put in between each page protector. made the bind much more sturdier. this is my 2011 album 3 inches thick so it did need something to compress all the pages to keep the binding sturdy. all this is 1/4 inch elastic that opens well. I used this instead of the posts only cause I have tons of elastic and the seam binding i think next i will try sewing some lace into it for a little more poof and cuteness to it. I like the way it works when i tied the ends i tied them inside the binding so it would look neat on both ends. Hope you try it out for me it was a way of saving money and using what i have. Thank you for taking time to read. I hope you get a chance to try this binding i think  you would be happy with the results.
I sewed seam binding to elastic. Thought I could use for something but couldn't find a good use for it till I used 4 binding and also want to use for a journal closer. Ill have to do it then post that. Later

Journal pages and stuff that want to come out of my head.

The butterflies kept evolving gypsy disign for cricut. copic markers coloring. stamped one with text and the other with a lace stamp. used liquid glass and lindy's embossing powder for the tips, a bit of glitz on wings i thing i am just about happy with these butterflies but still need something.
This page started off as paper swap for DEDE's  paper swap on ustream. started to make 4 lost one then there were 3 and only worked on 1. not quite happy with this either need something. so went looking for techniques  to add to this page, when i got caught up in Dede's ustream and heard she had prompt videos.Went looking for past video's well it ended up being to late and fell asleep. so will finish that project of making prompts for when i get stuck like this. mean while back to this post. this page still needs something so this will be on my mind till its completed to my liking.Then.....
Been working on this paper and still trying to find my style of art. trying different techniques for me, at least they are different to me. Enjoying letting my mind go where ever it wants. I still feel like my pages need some things more. some tweaking is needed to project a finishing touch of me. everything is so different but one thing leads to the next i refuse to stop my self cause of "I'm not sure" issues. I am going from one step to the nest where ever it leads me. I just seam to keep getting blocked by the what else it needs i see one thing this needs already and will work on that. this one has melted store bags glued on paper and painted on with acrylic paints an napkin and a face from magazine. the face needs work it needs blending i see it know. lol funny how i cant see it while writing and maybe some kinda border. well hope I'm not boring you to much. definitly feel this blogging will help me figure me out. I am my own great unknown. sounds like a title for this page. hmmmmm. TTYL! thanks for following.

art journal page

Kept getting kicked out of ustream while painting this page. Inspired by my kids club house just changed up the coloring and added grass since we don't have any. Made my own. Still think I like scrapbooking best but think I'm ok at this too.
